Financial planner charged over $2.5M fraud

A financial planner is due to face a Hobart court charged with misappropriating some $2.5 million.

The 42-year-old was extradited from Victoria after a fraud investigation and is expected in Hobart Magistrates Court on Thursday.

"The crimes are alleged to have occurred over the last four years while he was working as a financial advisor in Tasmania," Tasmania Police sergeant Gen Hickman said..
