Extra $55 million GST cheque for Tasmania

The Tasmanian government has cautiously welcomed news of a $55 million boost to GST revenue for 2017-18.
Treasurer Peter Gutwein on Friday cited advice from the Commonwealth Grants Commission, updating figures released in February.
"It pays to be careful with forecasts like this," Mr Gutwein said, suggesting the Liberal administration won't make plans to spend the money just yet.
