Child critical after Tas truck crash

A young child is among three people critically injured in a crash between a car and a truck in northern Tasmania.

The child, a male and female were in a Toyota Corolla in the crash at the intersection of Deep Creek Road and Bass Highway, Wynyard about 5.15pm.

The trio have been taken to North West Regional Hospital.

The intersection remains closed, police say.
