Bushfire in Tasmania's Central Highlands

Authorities have closed roads and issued a watch-and-act message as a bushfire burns in Tasmania.

The Tasmania Fire Service on Saturday afternoon said the blaze, at Interlaken in the Central Highlands, would be difficult to control and may put the areas of Woods Lake, Jemmys Marsh and Alma Tier Road at risk.

Alma Tier Road is closed at the intersection of Interlaken Road.
