Celebrity chef and restaurateur Heston Blumenthal is Hobart-bound for a special dinner bringing together the who's who of the globe's culinary experts.
The UK kitchen master is a last-minute addition to the guest list for a Tourism Australia event aiming to showcase the nation's food and wine.
A dinner at MONA (the Museum of Old and New Art) on Friday will be served under the direction of Australian chefs Neil Perry, Peter Gilmore and Ben Shewry.
Attendees include Matt Moran, Maggie Beer, Stephanie Alexander, Matt Preston and George Calombaris.
They will be joined by a swathe of leading international chefs and scores of industry media, who it is hoped will share their experience of Australia with hundreds of millions of followers around the world.
Blumenthal said he is looking forward to the event.
"To share the room with so many knowledgeable, international food and wine people, and to be served dinner by three of the country's most respected and talented chefs is a culinary experience I just couldn't miss."
