A Tasmanian Senate candidate stands by the anti-immigration message on a banner that prompted her ejection from a Hobart AFL match.

Karen Street is standing for the Love Australia Or Leave party, and on Sunday was thrown out of the 12,607-strong crowd watching North Melbourne play Melbourne at Blundstone Arena on Sunday when she was seen holding a sign saying "#sendthemback".

"I was fully expecting to be ejected from the ground. It's put my point out there," she told News Corp Australia on Tuesday.
