Tas rally calls for DVA royal commission

Federal independent senator Jacqui Lambie will lead a Hobart rally calling for a royal commission into the Department of Veterans' Affairs.

The Tasmanian senator has raised allegations of systemic problems in the department and, in calling for rally support on social media, sent a tweet claiming the veteran suicide rate is too high.

The rally is planned for the lawns of Hobart's parliament house from 10am.
