Tas child dies in 4WD accident

A three-year-old boy has died after being struck by a four-wheel drive in Tasmania's west.

Police say the accident happened off-road on Clymies Track, five kilometres north of Trial Harbour, about 10.45am on Sunday.

At the time, the vehicle was conducting a low-speed manoeuvre.

A Rescue Helicopter as well as local police and ambulance crews attended but found the boy dead at the scene.

Investigations into the circumstances of the accident will form a coroner's report.
