Tas bank branch damaged by fire

A fire has caused up to $300,000 damage to a bank in suburban Launceston.
The fire broke out late Tuesday at the rear of the Commonwealth Bank in Newstead, police say.
The back of the building was badly damaged and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
