Target of shooting that wounded young Sydney girl revealed
The intended target of a shooting that wounded a nine-year-old girl in Sydney's south last year has been revealed as police issue a new call for public help.
At about 5.50pm on Friday, July 8, 2022, emergency services were called to a home in Connells Point after reports of shots fired.
Officers found a wounded girl and conducted first aid before she was taken to hospital with a police escort.

She underwent multiple surgeries for her injuries.
A woman and two other children at the home were uninjured.
A gun found in nearby bushland, a red Mini Cooper, and a burnt-out black BMW in Oatley were all seized by police for further examination.
Three men have since been arrested and charged in connection with the shooting, and remain before the courts.

Police seek information about a black Toyota Aurion in connection with the shooting. NSW Police
This morning, police revealed the wounded girl's father is believed to be the intended target of the shooting.
Police are also seeking information about a third car, a black Toyota Aurion with green P plates, which they believe drove the alleged offenders from an address in Westmead to the black BMW prior to the shooting.
