Sydney woman held up, forced to drive at knifepoint

A woman was held at knifepoint and forced to drive her car through a southern Sydney suburb in broad daylight after a man confronted her in a council car park.

The woman, aged in her 30s, was approached as she was getting into her car near Rockdale train station.

The man produced a knife and forced her to drive him a to a location a few streets away, where he was picked up by another man driving a blue sedan, the woman told police.

He also took cash from the woman.

Police were called to the shaken woman shortly after the incident at around 12.30pm and treated for shock.

The man is described as being of African appearance, approximately 180cm tall, aged in his 20s and with medium build. He was wearing a green top.
