"Urgent trackwork" on Sydney's T4 train line is causing commuter chaos during evening peak hour.
The Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line and South Coast trains are running late due to the repairs being undertaken at Martin Place in the CBD.
"Trains may stop on platforms or between stations for longer than normal while the incident is ongoing," Sydney Trains said in an incident activity notice.

"All trains will be diverted around the City Circle.
"Please allow extra travel time, listen to announcements, check information screens and transport apps for the latest update."
