Children escape suspicious Sydney house fire investigated by police
A suspicious house fire in Sydney’s eastern suburbs overnight is being investigated by police.
The house on Stewart Street, North Bondi, became engulfed in flames just after midnight.
All five occupants of the house – two adults and three children – escaped without injury.

The blaze was extinguished by Fire and Rescue NSW before it could spread to neighbouring properties, but the house suffered extensive damage.
Officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, initial inquiries suggest the fire may be suspicious.
