Smoke creates stunning sunset vista of Sydney

The lingering smoke hanging over Sydney has made for a gorgeous sunset vista of the harbour city.

Filtered by the wall of smoke that has choked city all day, 9News has captured the sun burning a bright orange colour as it crosses Sydney.

It comes after a hazy day for Sydneysiders, who have been forced to content with heavy smog caused by hazard reduction burns in the Southern Highlands at the weekend.
