Man stabbed in car theft attack in Sydney's south west

Police are hunting an alleged attacker who stabbed a man and stole his car in Sydney's south-west overnight.

Around 3:45am this morning emergency services were called to a property in Rosemeadow, following reports of a stabbing.

There they found a man with stab wounds to his leg, who told police his white Holden ute had been stolen after the attack.

The 45-year-old victim was taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment.

Police are now investigating the attack, and have started a search for a white Holden ute bearing the NSW number plates DYM 48F.
