Woman charged after guard stabbed at Sydney jail
A female inmate has been charged after a prison guard was stabbed at a jail in Sydney's west.
Four ambulance crews were called to Silverwater Correctional Complex just after 8am after reports an officer had been stabbed.
The 24-year-old guard was taken to Westmead Hospital.

Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, NSW Police said tonight.
A 26-year-old inmate was placed in segregation and has since been charged with malicious wounding.
She appeared before Burwood Local Court today and was refused bail.
Staff at the centre have been offered counselling.
The stabbing is believed to have happened in the female section of the prison.
