Mass brawl of 30 people at Darling Harbour sees five arrested

Police have charged five people after a brawl in Darling Harbour left two people injured.

Just after 7pm last night, officers were called to a licensed premises in Darling Drive after reports four men were involved in an argument.

Upon arrival, police observed about 30 people involved in an altercation on the Promenade of Darling Harbour.

Backup was called and officers attached to Sydney City, Kings Cross, Police Transport Command and Operations Support Group attended to disperse the group.

A man aged 27 was charged with two counts of assault and one count of offensive behaviour in a public place. Three men aged 26, 25 and 23 were charged with affray and offensive behaviour in a public place.

The four men were granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday.

Another man was issued a court attendance notice for hindering police, with a date to be fixed.

All the men were also issued with long term banning notices for the Darling Harbour precinct.
