All citybound lanes on the M5 at Casula in Sydney's south west have reopened after a multi vehicle crash.

Two of three eastbound lanes had been closed and eastbound traffic was queued back past Campbelltown Road this morning.

The accident happened on approach to the Hume Highway and involved at least three vehicles.

Paramedics were called to the scene just before 8.30am.
