NSW nurse facing further sexual assault charge

A nurse will appear at court today facing more charges after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman awaiting heart surgery.

In September last year, police began investigating a series of reports that patients and a student nurse had been sexually assaulted at hospitals in Bella Vista and Kingswood.

Ali Khamis Moh'd, 42, was charged and remains before the courts.

Police received another report this week that a 58-year-old woman was allegedly sexually assaulted while waiting to receive heart surgery at a Bella Vista hospital in August 2021.

Following further investigations, Mr Moh'd was arrested at Castle Hill Police Station just after 8am today.

He was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault.

Mr Moh'd was refused bail and will appear at Parramatta Local Court today.
