Marrickville man refused bail after allegedly approaching children for sex
A man has been refused bail after allegedly approaching children for sex and assaulting police in Sydney’s Inner West.
Police claim Geoffrey Michael Breasley approached an eight-year-old boy as well as his 10-year-old brother and another 11-year-old boy on Marrickville Road, Marrickville yesterday afternoon.
It is also alleged the 46-year-old attended Jarvie Park on nearby Malakoff Street and made threats towards other children.

CCTV footage captured a man believed to be Breasley speaking to two of the alleged victims in a fast food restaurant before leaving.
Just before 4pm, police were called by other local children who were concerned by Breasley's presence and he was placed under arrest.
During the arrest, police allege Breasley, who was jailed in 2013 and completed a good behaviour bond in February this year, assaulted a male and female sergeant by kicking them and spitting on them.
The convicted sex offender was taken to Burwood Police Station where he was charged with three counts of procure child under 14 for sexual activity, two counts of assault police, intimidate police, stalking and intimidation, offensive behaviour.

His history was heard at Burwood Local Court today where the magistrate acknowledged a lengthy criminal record when refusing bail.
“These are serious charges,” she told the accused man.
Court documents state that Beasley was “highly intoxicated when he approached the children and seems to have little memory of the discussions”.
The magistrate advised Beasley’s legal representative that due to “the virtue of the nature and seriousness of the offence, there is a likelihood of a full time custodial sentence” if found guilty.
He will next appear via video link on May 1.
