Man in critical condition after Bondi beach rescue

A man is fighting for his life after being pulled from the water at Sydney’s popular Bondi Beach last night.
Beachgoers performed CPR on the 21-year-old before paramedics arrived at the scene.
He was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Police say he was swimming with two other men, both aged 20, who were also rescued
They were also hospitalised before being released.
With Sydney’s beaches packed with people seeking respite from the city’s heatwave, authorities are urging them to take extra care in the water.
The temperature is forecast to reach a top of 40 degrees in parts of Sydney’s western suburbs today and tomorrow is expected to hit 45 degrees.
