Massive peak-hour queues after train breaks down in Sydney tunnel
Commuters lined up in their hundreds in Sydney's north this morning after a train breakdown left them scrambling for buses during peak hour.
Sydney Metro halted services between Macquarie Park and Chatswood just before 8.30 today after a train broke down in a tunnel at North Ryde.
Travellers were advised to queue for buses or switch at Epping for a non-Metro train on the northern line.

Aerial images showed long lines of commuters at Macquarie Park and Chatswood as people waited for alternative transport.
After about an hour, Sydney Metro said services were returning to normal.
Buses continue to supplement some services between Macquarie Park and Chatswood.
