Sydney's new Metro line is back up and running after it was hit with disruptions earlier this morning, leaving services interrupted and one station closed.

The service said on X that a "technical issue" at Sydenham station was to blame for the issue.

The station itself was closed, with Sydney Metro advising commuters that services were running "between Tallawong and Martin Place, and between Martin Place and Waterloo".
