Sydney man charged after allegedly stabbing partner a dozen times

A man has been charged with the attempted stabbing murder of his partner at Turrella in Sydney's south.
The 25-year-old woman was found wounded in her home on Cook Street late last Friday and remains in a serious condition in hospital after undergoing surgery.
9NEWS understands she had been stabbed about a dozen times.
Her 29-year-old partner was arrested at a hotel in Tamworth yesterday afternoon, after police mounted a state-wide search for him.
He has been charged with several domestic violence offences included attempted murder, and is also accused of assaulting and stalking the woman last month.
He spent the night in custody and is expected to face Tamworth Local Court today.
