Search for gunman sends Sydney homes into lockdown
A man has been arrested over a shooting scare at a pub in Sydney's north west, sending surrounding streets into lockdown.
Guests staying at the Royal Hotel on Blaxland Street in Ryde contacted police around 1.40am today about an armed robbery and gunshots.

An exclusion was in place for six hours as tactical officers searched for a possible gunman.
Police located a male who was found hiding in a nearby garden.
It remains unclear if a shooting took place and police have established a crime scene to further investigate the incident.
The operation sent neighbouring streets into lockdown until a man was located. 9News
