Man accused of funding ISIL denied bail in Sydney court

A Sydney man accused of funding extremist group ISIL has been denied bail in a court appearance today.
Ali Al-Talebi, 25, appeared in court via videolink from the Goulburn Correctional Centre, a Supermax facility, this morning.
The Beecroft man is accused with Omarjan Azari of providing thousands of dollars in funding to ISIL.

He appeared to laugh during several of the crown's comments.
Mr Al-Talebi will now spend the next 12 to 18 months behind bars awaiting trial on terror financing offences.
His lawyers have said there is no connection or proof Mr Al-Talebi's funds were directed to ISIL.
