Man wounded, machete found after home invasion in Liverpool, Sydney

A 63-year-old man has been wounded in a violent home invasion in Sydney's south-west overnight.
Police were called to a home in Charles Street, Liverpool, after reports of an assault at about 11pm.
They found a man with lacerations to his face.

He was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
9News understands a machete was found at the scene.
Nobody has yet been arrested, and an investigation is underway.
