Lanes reopen after Sydney Harbour Bridge crash

Lanes have just reopened on the Sydney Harbour Bridge after a head-on accident but there is a major backlog of heavy traffic.

Earlier today, a two-vehicle accident closed three south-bound lanes and one north-bound lane.

A 35-year-old man suffered a head injury from the crash and has been taken to hospital. Two others are being treated for minor injuries.

All southbound lanes have reopened but one northbound lane remains closed

Commuters are being warned to expect delays on the bridge and its northern and southern approaches during the morning.

Motorists should allow extra travelling time.
