Sydney's Fairfield Hospital evacuated following hoax security scare

Fairfield Hospital in western Sydney was partly evacuated this morning, following a threat that has since been confirmed as a hoax.

A NSW Police Force spokeswoman said officers were called to the Prairiewood hospital about 5.50am AEDT and launched an operation that was coming to a conclusion about 7am AEDT.

The security scare was later confirmed to have been a hoax.
