Teenage driver bailed after three boys injured in alleged hit-run
A teenager charged after three children were knocked down by a car on Sydney's North Shore has appeared in court.
Vansh Khanna faced Manly Local Court this morning after the 18-year-old allegedly ran a red light and struck three boys crossing at a green pedestrian light, then drove off in Crows Nest yesterday.
A 13-year-old boy was taken to Sydney Children's Hospital and treated for serious injuries including leg fractures. Two other children, aged 12, were treated for minor injuries and have since been discharged.

Police arrested Khanna at Lane Cove - several suburbs away from Crows Nest - about 30 minutes after the crash.
Khanna's Honda Accord has been seized for mechanical and forensic examination.
He has been issued a licence suspension notice and was initially refused bail.
Khanna was charged with seven offences, including dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, negligent driving (occasion grievous bodily harm), failing to stop and assist after vehicle impact causing grievous bodily harm, failing to stop and assist after impact causing injury, proceeding through a red traffic light and two charges of causing bodily harm by misconduct while in charge of a motor vehicle.
Khanna arrived in Sydney in February on a three-year student visa while studying at Macquarie University.

He was granted bail today on the condition he handed over his passport and his international driver's licence.
He must report to police at Chatswood daily.
Khanna will be back in court on June 8.
