Bull dies on Sydney motorway after trailer rollover

A bull has died after the ute towing its trailer rolled on the M1 motorway on Sydney's North Shore this morning.

The ute has been travelling M1 northbound at Wahroonga when it rolled onto its side 200 metres north of the Kuring-Gai Chase overpass.

The bull – which was in the trailer – was seriously injured after landing in the middle of the roadway.

The animal has been seriously injured and a vet is now on the scene. 9News

A vet was called however they were unable to save the animal. No one else was injured as a result of the accident.

The accident caused lengthy delays for morning commuters, with traffic stretching over a kilometre from the crash site.

Traffic has since cleared and all northbound lanes have reopened.
