Workers evacuated after fire breaks out at chemical warehouse in Sydney
More than 40 workers were forced to evacuate a chemical warehouse after it became engulfed in flames this morning and sent black smoke over Western Sydney.
About 60 firefighters responded to a fifth alarm fire - the highest level alarm - at a single-storey Industrial Galvanizers factory on Amax Avenue in Girraween about 11.45am today.
Everyone was safety evacuated and no injuries were reported.

Black clouds of smoke billowed from the warehouse and could be seen in the sky from suburbs over.
The Industrial Galvanizers warehouse is home to a large amount of chemicals, which had the potential to fuel a greater blaze, according to emergency services.

Some firefighters wet the roof of the building while others worked on the ground to stop it from spreading to neighbouring properties.
"It took approximately one hour to contain the blaze and another few hours to completely extinguish it," firefighters said.
Investigations are now underway to determine what caused the fire.
