More than two million travellers expected to pass through Sydney Airport over Easter
Sydney Airport is bracing for its biggest Easter crowds since the start of the pandemic, with nearly two-and-a-half million travellers expected to pass through its terminals.
More than one-and-a-half million domestic passengers and 850,000 international travellers are expected to enter its doors from April 3 to April 23, the airport said.
The figure is the largest number of passengers over a holiday period since before the COVID-19 pandemic and represents a 90 per cent recovery on the same period in 2019, and a 34 per cent increase on last year.

Sydney Airport has also updated its arrival advice for domestic travellers after the easing of staff shortages that caused travel disruption for peak holiday periods in 2022.
Passengers are advised to arrive one hour prior to departure if they only have hand-luggage, and two hours prior if they're checking in bags.
International passengers should continue to arrive three hours prior to departure unless their airlines say otherwise.
Sydney Airport CEO Geoff Culbert said the forecast figures showed Australians were making a strong return to domestic and international air travel as the aviation industry continues to recover.
"Despite the steep airfares, it's clear that many Australians are prioritising an Easter holiday," he said.

"The ongoing momentum in the international recovery is also exciting, with international passenger volumes forecast to be more than double what they were during Easter 2022."
Culbert said the airport will also have more airline capacity across travel destinations such as India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea and Canada compared to any point in April 2019.
People travelling to Sydney Airport are being advised to plan ahead to ensure a hassle-free trip.
Travellers taking a car should book ahead to guarantee a parking spot and get the best deal.
