Surgery delays for 100 SA patients

About 100 patients have had their surgery delayed at an Adelaide hospital because of a faulty airconditioner, South Australia's health minister has confirmed.

Urgent elective surgery has been moved from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital to the Royal Adelaide Hospital because of the fault, which has coincided with an unusually humid spell.

"It's not unusual, unfortunately, for patients to have elective surgery cancelled," Health Minister Jack Snelling told parliament on Thursday.
