WA surfer recovering at home after shark attack
A prominent surfer is recovering at home after a shark attack in Western Australia's mid-west.
Max Marsden was surfing with a friend at Lucy's Beach, about 20 kilometres south of Geraldton, when he was bitten on his right arm this morning.
The surfer arrived at the hospital "in good spirits" before he was sent home.

It is believed a 1.5 metre bronze whaler was behind the attack, which forced the closure of the beach for the rest of the day.
Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn praised Marsden's friend who came to his aid.
"He was duly stabilised by his friend immediately on the shore, which is just fantastic to hear," Van Styn said.
"First aid is a critical skill everyone should learn, particularly when you're going surfing in remote places."
It is unknown at this stage if Lucy's Beach will re-open tomorrow.
