Surfer dies on Sydney's eastern beaches

A surfer has died after hitting his head at a popular Sydney beach.
Paramedics were called to Tamarama Beach about 2pm on Wednesday on reports a surfer had suffered a head injury.
It is understood he was washed on the rocks.

CPR was performed but an ambulance spokeswoman confirmed just before 3pm that the man had died.
