Students at elite SA school charged over alleged degrading filming

Students at the most expensive school in South Australia are being investigated for allegedly filming and sharing sexually explicit material at a party.

Two pupils at the $25,000-a-year St Peters College have been summonsed to appear at Adelaide Youth Court on charges of humiliating or degrading filming and distributing a degrading image, The Advertiser reports.

The images were reportedly taken at a party following St Peters' annual intercollegiate football match against Prince Alfred College.

Details of how the images were taken or distributed have not been revealed.

The all-boys school said in a statement it was aware of the incident.

"As the incident in question is currently under police investigation, it is not appropriate for us to discuss the details," the school said.

"The school takes any allegations involving students very seriously. St Peter’s College has high expectations of our students and the ways in which they behave — whether or not they are on school grounds."

The school said it is supporting the police in their investigation.

St Peters was established in 1847 and boasts an enviable roster of historical alumni, including ten former South Australian premiers and three Nobel laureates.
