Stormtroopers conquer the Golden Gate Bridge for a good cause
An army of stormtroopers invaded San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge on Saturday morning to help support and raise awareness for cancer research.
Photographer Kevin Doyle and his supporters dressed up as the famed Star Wars characters and walked across the bridge to honour Mr Doyle’s wife who died from pancreatic cancer.
The couple reportedly first met at a Star Wars party.
"That's why I'm here, with all the thoughts and the memories all at the surface has been overwhelming," Mr Doyle told KTVU.
The walk completed Mr Doyle’s two million step challenge; a two month trek from Rancho Obi-Wan, a Star Wars-related museum near Petaluma, to Comic-Con in San Diego and back again.
He said the trek was a therapeutic journey.
