Sydney family's desperate appeal after pet parrot snatched from front yard

A Sydney family have launched a desperate appeal for the return of a beloved pet.
The family fears their parrot Gizmo was taken from their front yard in Ermington in the city's north-west.

The six-year-old white-bellied caique has not been seen since 9.30am Saturday.
Security footage shows a woman walking away from the family's home holding a bird.
