Man charged after $40k caravan 'stolen' from bushfire-affected home

A man has been charged after allegedly stealing a caravan from a bushfire-affected property on the New South Wales South Coast.
The homeowner returned to their property south of Batemans Bay on Saturday and found their $40,000 caravan was missing.
Yesterday, police allegedly found the caravan at a property near Mogo on the Princes Highway.

Police claim they found three chainsaws, a generator and a small amount of cannabis inside it.
A 52-year-old man was arrested and charged with having suspected stolen goods on his property, and drug possession.
He is set to appear in court today.
