The brother of the man accused of murdering NSW high school teacher Stephanie Scott has pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact.

Marcus Stanford, the twin brother of accused killer Vincent Stanford, admitted the charge in the Griffith Local Court this morning.

Ms Scott, who was 26, disappeared from her hometown of Leeton on Easter Sunday last year, just days before she was to marry her fiancé Aaron Leeson-Woolley.

Her burned remains were found in the Cocoparra National Park on April 10, the day before the wedding.

Police allege Marcus Stanford “assisted” his brother in the days and weeks following her death, including receiving items belonging to her.

Vincent Stanford has been charged with the sexual assault and murder of Ms Scott.

He is expected to face Griffith Local Court later today.
