Diabetic dog Bailey stolen from Melbourne home believed to be on the run after escaping alleged captors
Five-year-old pup Bailey was stolen from a home in Melbourne's south east yesterday.
A diabetic dog stolen from a Melbourne home is on the run.
Five-year-old Bailey was last seen at a Gregson Grove home in Lyndhurst around 10pm on Friday.
Bailey’s owners had stepped inside their house for a short moment when they realised the dog was missing.
Despite an extensive search of the neighbouring streets they were unable to locate their beloved pet.
“Without his insulin injection he will start getting really sick and he could fall into a coma and actually die,” his owner Sarah Leavasa told 9NEWS.
During the police investigation into Bailey’s disappearance several females were identified with Bailey shortly after the dog went missing and were asked to make themselves known to police.
The women came forward and are assisting police with their enquiries however Bailey is yet to be found.
It is believed that Bailey was taken to a Beaconsfield home by one of the women, but escaped a short time after.
