A woman has been stabbed outside a major shopping centre in the Cairns CBD.
9News understands the stabbing occurred just before midday on Bunda Street and a man was arrested soon afterwards.

Senior Sergeant Dion Reedman said several members of the public also gave chase, allowing police to take the man into custody within minutes of the attack.
The dog squad has been tasked with finding the weapon, believed to be a knife.
The woman is in a serious condition and has been taken to hospital.
