Australians heading overseas to fight with terrorist organisations will be in the sights of the House of Representatives today.

The lower house is expected to give the nod to laws giving spy agencies more powers to deal with foreign fighters, which the Senate passed yesterday.

The legislation prohibits travel to terrorist hot spots without a valid excuse and make it illegal to "promote" or "encourage" terrorism.

Politicians are also expected to look at bringing Australia's anti-doping agency in line with a revised world doping code.

The government is also intending to introduce new bills affecting the Australian War Memorial and tax and superannuation laws.
