Adelaide real estate agency torched in third arson attack in matter of days

An Adelaide real estate agency has been targeted in an arson attack for the third time in less than a week.

The blaze this time fully engulfed the property and left the office gutted, with other local businesses fearing their buildings could be next. 

The latest incident occurred at 2am on Friday at the LJ Hooker office on Grange Road in Flinders Park.

A nearby worker discovered the inferno while on an early morning walk and immediately called firefighters, who managed to control the blaze within five minutes, preventing it from spreading to other buildings.

Neighbouring business owners say they are concerned following the attack.

"For us it is absolutely, absolutely crazy… we have to check out security as well," Maria Cortes said.

"We don't feel secure, to be honest."

Surveillance footage obtained from a neighbouring building showed a white car pulling up outside the real estate agency, and two individuals emerging from the vehicle, one of whom was holding a jerry can. Seconds later, they fled as the fire erupted.

It was the third attack on the same business in less than a week.

Police are not investigating the incident as part of Operation Eclipse, which is probing similar crimes linked to Adelaide's tobacco turf war.
