Man survives after car ripped in half in horror Adelaide smash
A 21-year-old man who crashed into three power poles which ripped his car in half in Adelaide has survived the horrifying ordeal.
Emergency services were called to Oaklands Road in Glengowrie at 11pm last night after the Mitsubishi Magna Sedan driver smashed into the Stobie poles.

The impact of the crash not only caused the driver's car to break into two, but also caused the fuel tank to separate from the vehicle.
As a result of the accident the local area experienced a major power outage due to the fallen power lines.

The driver of the car escaped the ordeal with non-life-threatening injuries. 9News

Emergency services took the driver by ambulance to the Flinders Medical Centre for non-life-threatening injuries.

South Australia Police are now investigating to determine the cause of the crash, which could result in the driver being charged with numerous driving offenses.
The power was expected back on this morning after SA Power Network attended the scene.
