South Australian government unveils big-spending budget
The South Australian government has spent big in today's state budget, with the North South Corridor at the centre.
The government's plan to complete the corridor will cost $8.9 billion and create 4000 jobs.
But 400 properties are yet to be acquired, and major construction is set to run from 2023 to 2030.

Building, sport and infrastructure are all more immediate focuses, with $44 million allocated for an upgrade at Memorial Drive, and $45 million for Hindmarsh Stadium.
Every public school will receive grants between $20,000 and $100,000 for urgent maintenance, while state pre-schools get $30,000 each.
Early works for the new Women's and Children's Hospital in Adelaide will receive an extra $135 million, while the total health budget is up by more than $1 billion in two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We wouldn't characterise it as just a blowout, it's providing additional resources to the important area of health," Treasurer Rob Lucas said.
All the spending comes at a cost, with this year's deficit hitting $2.59 billion.
State debt is set to hit $33 billion by 2024.
