Soap actor 'fired for groping young co-star'
A popular actor on long-running soap opera The Young and the Restless was reportedly fired suddenly after a young female co-star complained about him groping her breasts.
Michael Muhney, who played the role of Adam Newman, was fired last month after allegedly bullying and harassing 20-year-old co-star Hunter King, TMZ reports.
The 38-year-old actor, who is married with three children, had reportedly been a long-term nuisance on the set, allegedly harassing King as well as others who worked on the show.
The second alleged breast grabbing incident was said to have been the final straw for the soap star.
Muhney announced that he was leaving the show on Twitter last month without citing a reason.
"I'm so sorry. It breaks my heart to say this, but I was just let go from Y&R. My last day on set is this Thursday," he wrote on December 17.
In a subsequent interview the actor suggested his outspoken nature may have led to his sacking.
"Sometimes I've walked around with a big backpack of hubris," he said.
"This is entirely on me."
