Search for suspected getaway car after man shot, dumped in boot of 4WD and set alight
The hunt is on for a suspected getaway car after a man's body was found in a burned-out car in Sydney's south-west at the weekend.
Mejed Derbas shot and was dumped in the boot of a Toyota 4WD which was then set alight in a deserted industrial estate in Smithfield.

Steve Ezzeddine saw the 4WD on Hume street well alight on Saturday evening.
"Saw some smoke and ran to the car to see if anyone was in there," he told 9News.
"Black smoke started coming from the front and a few loud bangs."

Mr Ezzeddine checked the car to see if anyone was inside and then called Triple-0.
Fire crews took over and found a body in the back of the Toyota.
"They opened the boot and the firie took a step back... he saw what was inside," Mr Ezzeddine said.

Mr Derbas was known to police and on bail for drug supply charges when he died.
Detectives said the 22-year-old was shot before being dumped in the boot of the 4WD and left on the dead-end street.
NSW Police have asked for anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
