Slain 'bikie associate' attacked police and paramedics

A Comancheros associate shot dead by police in suburban Brisbane was behind a savage attack on paramedics and officers just over a year ago, 9NEWS can reveal.

Two officers opened fire on the man, named as Liam Scorsese, after he threatened the occupants of a home at Wakerley on the city's bayside yesterday morning.

He had tried to break into the property at around 10am, and the occupants called police who first used a Taser to try to subdue the "enraged" 31-year-old.

In December 2016, 9NEWS cameras captured shocking vision of Scorsese lashing out at ambulance crews, as they tried to treat him for stab wounds.

The vision shows a bloodied Scorsese being wheeled out of a Gold Coast home on a stretcher, before he flips into a fit of rage.

He can be seen violently ripping off medical equipment and throwing punches at police, before he's tackled to the ground.

Despite his behaviour, Scorsese’s Gold Coast lawyer Ashkan Tai said his client was not a member of any outlaw motorcycle club and was working to get his life in order.

"He had enrolled in a barber's course. Just because he got into one incident with the Comancheros, police label him. He wasn't a bikie, he was just a man that was tattooed and had some bad friends," Mr Tai has told The Courier-Mail.

It’s believed yesterday’s fatal incident unfolded near the home of Scorsese’s girlfriend, Chireez Beytell.

Ms Beytell has shared multiple images of the pair to Facebook in the past 24-hours, along with the message:

“The pain is unbearable, the suffering unimaginable. Four years wasn’t enough , it wasn’t the life time u (sic) promised me or yourself, now your gone.

“May you fly with the angels, I will never let go bub I will never let go.”
